Obituary:
MILLSBORO -- John W. Carter, 72, died yesterday at Beebe Hospital, Lewes, after a long illness.
Mr. Carter was a retired employee of the Post Office and had lived in Millsboro since his retirement. He was a veteran of World War I.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Nora Carter, at home; four sisters, Mrs. Alice Games, Cheswold; Mrs. Agnes Newlin, Philadelphia; Mrs. Catherine Cuff, Bridgeton; N.J.; and Mrs. Laura Pierce, Monroeville, N.J.; and a brother, Hopewell Carter of Franklinville, N.J.
Services will be Sunday night at 8 at the James Funeral Home, Millsboro, where friends may call tomorrow night. Interment will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, West Chester, PA.
