She married John L. Hille on August 29, 1886 at St. JOhn's Lutheran Church in Massac Co., IL. She and John had the following children who survived infancy: Gilbert, Edward, Reuben, Ocie, and Clara. Lizzie, as she was called, died of tuberculosis on December 2, 1906. Since her husband was unable to care for the children, they were farmed out to various families after her death.
