For the 1940 Census, Mildred and her family appeared to have been counted twice. Initially with her father, she and her two kids without Edward [April 16th] and a second time - the whole family in Ward 4, McKeesport, Allegheny Co.

Further searching of that census, revealed that Edward was listed as an inmate in the county jail on April 6th.

Edward enlisted in the Army 03 Mar 1942 and apparently died two months later.

Her second marriage was to Montgomery F Digby in 1944, they would divorce in 1946.

In an attempt to get a photograph of her grave stone, it was reported that she had none.
