Janet Marlene McTavish, 75, of Greeley, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2014 at her home. Janet was born on June 18, 1939 in Madison, Wisconsin to Horton and Georgia Anna (Kinney) Wells. She was one of nine children.

Janet's family moved to Keystone, Colorado when she was seven years old. She lived in Summit County for 47 years, graduating in 1957 from Summit High School.

Janet married Rex McTavish on October 26, 1957 in Frisco, Colorado.

Janet was a Life member of the Greeley Women's Auxiliary. She worked as a housekeeper for her entire life.

Janet enjoyed bowling, fishing, camping, reading and gaming machines.

Family was Janet's most important journey. They would take yearly family vacations.

Janet is survived by her daughter, Anna Peaslee (Charlie) of Evans; son, Ronald McTavish of Greeley, sister, Barbara Wells of Loveland; brother, Horton Wells of Center; two grandchildren, Joshua and Mandy and seven great-grandchildren, Devin, Darin, David, Autumn, Jake, Taylor and Samantha.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five sisters and one brother.

Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, September 19, 2014 at Stoddard Funeral Home. A graveside service will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
