Forsyth . . . George Thomas Green, Sr. passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 20, 2014, at Maynard Baptist Church with burial in Monroe Memorial Gardens. Dr. Marvin Lee will officiate. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church.
Mr. Green, the son of the late John Thomas Green and Sallie Mae Sutton Green was born December 8, 1940, in Macon, Georgia. His brother, Harry Green and his sister, Sallie Dobson preceded him in death. He was a retired dairy farmer, a veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of Maynard Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Sally Green of Forsyth; children, Debbie (David) Allen of Forsyth, Tom Green of Juliette, Kristie (CJ) Upright of Forsyth and John (Amanda) Green of Macon; sister, Louise (Richard) McFadden of Macon; brothers, Gene (Robin) Green of Roberta and David (Judy) Green of Forsyth; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
