Byrl N. Matlick, 85, of 811 Oak, died at 6:50 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, in Memorial hospital following a brief illness.
He was born Nov. 18, 1889, in Scotland county, Missouri, the son of William R. and Ellen White Matlick. Mar. 18, 1915, at Memphis, Mo., he married Zelda Douglas.
Mr. Matlick was of the Methodist faith.
Surviving: The wife: two daughters, Mrs. Leliah Brown and Mrs. Richard Haist, and one son, Wesley W., all of Burlington; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside committal service at 3 p.m. Monday, Memorial Park Cemetery, Rev. Leroy Moore. Prugh Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
