Mrs. Glenda Rae McQuain, 78, passed away after a lengthy illness at her home on Primrose Lane in Bridgeport, WV on September 17, 2014. She was born April 7, 1936, a daughter of the late Wm. A. and Dana Fleming of Weston.
Glenda was the last surviving member of her family. Surviving in addition to her husband Albert C. McQuain, whom she married on Christmas Day, 1955, are three sons and one daughter: Albert C. II “Chuck” and wife Eugenia of CA, Bryan Scott and wife Carol of Clarksburg, Dana Bruce of Bridgeport, and Tara Kathleen Thompson and husband Dave of Clarksburg. Several grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive her.
Glenda has many friends who will miss her keen wit and sense of humor. She was Methodist by faith and attended Smith Chapel United Methodist Church. Friends will be received at the Ford Funeral Home, 215 East Main Street, Bridgeport, WV on Sunday from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home on Monday, September 22, 2014 at 11:00 AM with Reverend Dr. Dale C. Waters presiding. The interment will follow at the Bridgeport Cemetery, Bridgeport, WV. The McQuain family has entrusted the care and arrangements to the Ford Funeral Home, 215 East Main Street, Bridgeport, WV.
