Wayne was an Army PFC who was shot in Vietnam and lost a lung. Following the war he dedicated his life to working for veterans to receive their benefits; working first for the American Legion as a Service Officer and then the Department of Employment Security as a veteran's employment counselor. He died of a heart attack.
