Arberta Schirmer, 87, of Ray Township, died Sunday, March 12, 2006, at Medilodge of Richmond. She was born Sept. 16, 1918, in Flint.
Mrs. Schirmer was employed at various nursing homes. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Armada and the Washington Township and Ray Township Seniors. She enjoyed baking and playing cards.

She is survived by her children, Thomas (Debbie Shelton) Schirmer of Waterford, Don Schirmer of Ray Township, Arberta (Donald) Holmes of Richmond, Nancy (Morris) Pegelo of Chesterfield Township and Susan (Garry) Howard of Armada; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and good friend, Linda Schirmer. She was predeceased by her husband of 26 years, William Schirmer, in 1965; and parents, George and Sarah (nee Williams) Beauchamp.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Armada, with the Rev. Paul Dancy officiating. Burial will follow in Richards Cemetery, Richmond Township.

Visitation is 2-9 p.m. Tuesday at Henry Malburg Funeral Home, 11280 32 Mile Road, Romeo. Additional visitation is 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
