Stephen L. Adamski, 88, of Natrona, Harrison, died at 3:10 p.m. Monday (Nov. 26, 2001) in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights, Harrison.
Born Dec. 30, 1912, in Natrona, he lived there all his life.
A graduate of Har-Brack High School, he served in the Army in France and Germany during World War II.
He was an inspector in the No. 3 Department of Allegheny Ludlum Steel, Brackenridge Works, before retiring in1974.
Mr. Adamski was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Parish, Polish Roman Catholic Union, Knights of Columbus, American Legion and the Kosciuszko Polish Patriotic Social Society, all in Natrona; Natrona Heights Veterans of Foreign Wars; United Steel- workers of America, Local 1196, Brackenridge; and the American Association of Retired Persons.
Survivors include a son, Paul S. Adamski of Sarver, Buffalo Township; two grandchildren; a brother, Walter Adamski of Natrona; and three sisters, Mrs. Edward (Valarie) Kozlowski of Natrona, Mrs. Martin (Leona) Geslak of Holiday, Fla., and Mrs. Edward (Constance) Zaboski of Lower Burrell.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Veronica Kort Adamski, in 1972; an infant daughter, Patricia Adamski; his parents, Francis and Josephine Przygoda Adamski; four brothers, Bernard, Sylvester, John and Floyd Adamski; and two sisters, Laura Skiba and Genevieve Baranowski.
Friends are being received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the AJAK FUNERAL HOME, Natrona, where a parting prayer service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday. Christian Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Ladislaus Worship Site, by his pastor, the Rev. Donald J. Sotak.
Burial will be in Mount Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights, where full military honors will be accorded by the Natrona American Legion and Natrona Heights VFW. The Knights of Columbus will conduct a memorial service at 7 tonight in the funeral home.
