Mrs. Pigott died March 4, 2015, at Golden Living Center of complications from a fall Jan. 14, 2015, at her residence.
She was born Nov. 2, 1923, in Tylertown, daughter of Offie B. and Mary Jane (Leo) Lee Simmons.
She was employed for many years at Haspel Bros. Mfg. Co. as a repair person, repairing all flaws in pants manufactured at the local facility. She was best known for her love of her yard, which attracted the attention of passersby viewing the colorful array of blooms. Mrs. Pigott was a Baptist. She was the widow of Wes Dillon, who was the father of her children, and Arthur Pigott.
Survivors include four daughters, Carolyn Dillon of Tylertown, Barbara Faircloth of Denham Springs, Sue (Harold) Barnett of the Gulf Coast and Dr. Cassie (Trey) Burns, a great-granddaughter she helped rear as a daughter, of Flowood; one son, Dudley (Jackie) Dillon of Tylertown; five grandsons, Wes (Lindsay) Dillon of Destin, Fla., Jeremy Dillon of Hattieburg, Troy Martin and Perry (Lisa) Martin of Denham Springs, Rob Kennedy of the Gulf Coast and Melissa Beal; five great-grandchildren, Leah and Bryce Dillon of Hattiesburg, Madison Martin of Denham Springs, Chelsea and Micah Kennedy of Tylertown; one great-great-grandchild; a brother, Offie (Betty) Simmons of Tylertown, her caregiver, Tonia Estess. Pallbearers were grandsons, Troy Martin, Perry Martin, Wes Dillon, Jeremy Dillon and Trey Burns. Honorary pallbearers were Madison Martin, Leah Dillon and Bryce Dillon.
Burial was in Rushing Cemetry with Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home in charge.
