Thomas Herman Harms, son of Ufka John Harms and Johanna Katrina Dorn, devoted husband of Phyllis Joy Osterloo.
Thomas Herman HARMS and Phyllis Joy OSTERLOO were married in Emery, Hanson County, South Dakota, in a quiet double ring ceremony conducted by Rev. D. S. Wipf, on Saturday in March, 1948, at 2 o'clock at the First Emery Baptist Parsonage, Miss Phyllis Osterloo daughter of Mr. Harm Osterloo, and Hanna Folkerts Osterloo became the bride of Thomas Harms son of Mr. and Mrs. Ufka Harms, of Douglas, Nebraska.
Tom Harms was born in Beatrice, Nebraska, he was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith. He served his country in World War II. When he returned from the war he married Phyllis J. Osterloo in Emery South Dakota. During the late 50's moved his family to Long Prairie / Grey Eagle, Minn.. Tom was preceeded in death by his children Basil and Clem Harms, and his mother and father, Ufka John Harms and Johannah (Hannah) Katrina Dorn-Harms. Tom and Phyllis were blessed with 9 children.
Thomas is survived by 7 children, many grand children, and great grandchildren, nieces nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Thomas (Tom) reached the age of 72yrs. 5 mo., and 25 days. Blessed be his memory.
Arrangements made by Stephen-Stein Funeral Home, Long Prairie, Minnesota. Burial at Bear Head Cemetery. Pillsbury, Minnesota.
Spouse: Phyllis J. Osterloo Harms (b: 02/04/1924 - d: 10/2010) Baptised and confirmed, in the Baptiste Faith. Burial at Bear Head Cemetery, Pillsbury, Minnesota, next to her husband.

Clement Lamar Harms (b: Sept 28. 1956 - d: Dec 26, 1979).
Basil Harms, 28, and Clement Harms, 23, sons of Thomas and Phyllis Harms, Round Prairie Township, rural Long Prairie, died Wednesday, Dec, 26, 1979, Basil was a loving Grandson, Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Grandfather and Friend. Basil, after High School, joined the Navy, and after the Navy, went on to receive a Bacholors Degree from St. Cloud State, He will be missed greatly by all who loved and knew him, most importantly Basil loved the Lord. Basil is survived by many Sisters and Brothers, Nieces and Nephews, Children, Grand Children, Cousins and Friends, and an Aunt Iris and her Husband Bob Fahy. Basil was blessed with 4 children.
Clem was a loving Grandson, Son, Brother and Friend, he will be missed by all who knew him, most importantly Clem loved the Lord (Clem was baptised by proxy). Clem is survived by many Sisters and Brothers, Nieces and Nephews, Cousins, relatives and Friends, and by an Aunt.
