Argyle's grandfather left him a cow and William Hawkins reported to the court on the condition of the orphan Argyle's property.
If Argyle's father died, in the jurisdiction of the court, you would think there would be a reference to the father's property.
Is it possible that Argyle came to the colonies with his grandfather? If so, the surname would not have to be Blackstone.
When William Hawkins died, Argyle Blackstone was his son-in-law and a reference is made to a silver cup to be left to the parish.
When Argyle died, a silver cup was left to the parish.
