She was married to Little Berry "L B" Allison (1847–1924) on September 19, 1869 in Caldwell County, Kentucky, the son of Moses Allison and Elizabeth (Hughes) Allison.
Living at 833 Acklen Avenue in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee, Sara was 91 years old and a widow when she passed away at 335 Valeria Street in Nashville. Her body was removed that same day for burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery at Princeton, Kentucky.
