"Ebb" was his nick name ... His Birth name was Everett Coleman Bayles, I have a copy of my father's Birth Cert. in July 1927 ... Grandpa is listed as Everett Coleman Bayles ... my dad Walter Lee was the third of 4 sons ... STORY is that he had been in some trouble (?) and started being William Everett, was NOT officially changed, I guess it was easy then to just change . The sons were all born with 1st wife Garnett Leona Smith Bayles. The sons were Frederick Fay, Mark E. ,Walter Lee and Robert Bruce ... I KNEW all of them very well all my life until they each Passed.
