Mrs. Adaline Nale, one of Duncansville's oldest residents and a life long resident of Blair county, died at her home at 306 Fifteenth street, Duncansville, on Sunday morning at 5.30 o'clock. Death was attributed to ailments and complications incident to her advanced years and came following an extended illness, although her condition became serious only two weeks ago. The deceased was in her 84th year, being born Sept. 3, 1844.

She was born at Sugar Run, Blair county, and was the only child of Jacob and Elizabeth Isett, both of whom died when she was quite young and she grew to young womanhood in the family of General George Potts, Altoona's first mayor.

In August, 1866, she was united in marriage with James Andrews and became a resident of Duncansville, where she resided until her death, a period of nearly sixty-two years. Her first husband died in 1875. In 1880 she was married to J. Ross Nale, who preceded her in the grave on Nov. 25, 1925.

The exact dates of the events of her earlier life are not available, as the family records were completely destroyed in fire many years ago. To each union five children were born. Of those born to the first union, three survive while all born to the second union are living.

The surviving children are Mrs. Laura Conrad of Derry, Agustus Andrews of Hollidaysburg, James Andrews of Duncansville, Martha Nale and Gilbert Nale of Piney Forks, Ohio, William Nale of Hollidaysburg, Mrs. Maggie Gardener of Beaverdale and David of Duncansville. She is also survived by thirty-eight grandchildren and thirty-eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was a member of Pride of Blair Temple No. 55 Ladies of the Golden Eagle of Duncansville, and the Hicks Memorial Methodist church. The funeral will be conducted from her home on Tuesday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock, by her pastor, Rev. D. G. Felker. Interment will be made in the Carson Valley Cemetery.
