Nora is a daughter of W Tazel and Minnie Susan (Mullins) Martin. She married Joseph Ignacio Sanchez in Coffeyville, Kansas, they have twelve children: Mary Virginia, Ralph Edward, Opal Beatrice, James Alfred, Marie Angelina, Clementine, William Austin, Juanita May, Alfonso, Joe Ray, Carole and Mickey. She was a homemaker. She could crochet anything and never used a pattern. You never, ever, left Mama's house hungry.

Mrs Nora M Sanchez, 79, of 819 South Ferree Street, Kansas City, Kansas, died Thursday at a nursing home at 749 Blake Street, Edwardsville, [Kansas].

She was born in Inola, Oklahoma, and had lived in this area for forty-one years. Mrs Sanchez was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, 1007 Grandview Boulevard, [Kansas City, Kansas].

She leaves her husband, Joseph I Sanchez of the home; five sons, James A Sanchez, Chicago; Dr William A Martin, Kansas City, [Missouri]; Alphonso Sanchez, Kansas City, Kansas; Joseph R Sanchez, Texas; and Michael E Sanchez [Sr], Kansas City, Kansas; five daughters, Mrs Virginia Koger, Mrs Marie Velasquez, and Mrs Tina Sanchez of Kansas City, Kansas; Mrs Juanita Stude, Bonner Springs; Mrs Carole Quillen, Colorado; a sister, Mrs Lula Cox, Tulsa, Oklahoma; forty-four grandchildren; and thirty great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 am Monday at the Highland Park Chapel; entombment in the Highland Park Lawn Crypts [?]. Friends may call from 4 to 6 pm Sunday at the chapel. The family suggests contributions to the American Parkinson's Disease Association.
