Beloved son and brother passed away unexpectedly Tuesday September 23, 2014. Age 38 years. The son of Timothy and Jackie (Collins) Martin, Cory was born May 16, 1976 in Saginaw, Michigan. He graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 1994 and had attended Lansing Community College and Delta College. Cory enjoyed working outdoors and had owned and operated his own businesses, Above & Beyond Landscaping and Elite Entertainment. Cory enjoyed sports, riding his motorcycle, his D.J. work and spending time with his friends. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
Surviving are his parents, Tim and Jackie Martin, Zilwaukee; one sister, Tara J. Martin and Roy Rockafellow, Zilwaukee; one aunt and two uncles, Jennifer and Grant Mahan, Chris Martin; several cousins. Cory was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Gloria Collins, Frank and Sophie Martin.
Funeral Liturgy will take place 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 29, 2014 at St. John Paul II Catholic Church-St. Matthew Site. Rev. Fr. William R. Taylor will officiate and cremation will follow. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Sunday from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m. and at St. Matthew Catholic Church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
