Services for Malcome Tudor, 85, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Ash Street Church of Christ, Wilson, with Larry Jackson officiating. Interment will be in Hewitt Cemetery, Wilson, under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home.
Born Jan. 20, 1921, to the late Stafford Calloway and Verna Ellen Bennett Tudor in Atoka, he died July 29, 2006, in Ardmore. He married Ruby Eddie Owens on Aug. 23, 1941, in Yuma, Ariz. She preceded him in death on Nov. 30, 2005. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Manor Tudor.
Malcome grew up in Dillard and graduated from Wilson High School in 1938, after which he attended diesel school in Kansas City. He then entered into the U.S. Army, serving two years in Japan before being honorably discharged.
Malcome began his working career with Carter Oil Co. in 1948 in Pauls Valley. He was transferred to numerous cities and states up until his retirement in 1983 from what was then Exxon. That same year they returned to Wilson. Malcome had been a member of the Church of Christ since 1945, serving as Sunday School teacher and elder in several churches.
Malcome is well known by the community for his yard work and gardening, which he shared with everyone. He was the epitome of a Christian man. He lived his Christian faith, always sharing, caring thoughtful, considerate, kind and a true gentleman.
Survivors include his daughter, Rita Richardson, Wilson; son, Malcome Kyle Tudor, Monticello, Utah; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be Troy Loard, Dan Green, Charlie Dutton, Tommy Pickens, Don Martin and L.C. Loving. Honorary bearers are Bo Ward and Charles Lamb.
