He was the eldest son of Eddie Adair Sr. and Sereta Savage-Adair.
He was a member of Douglas Memorial Community Church where his membership remained until his death. He attended Northhampton County, Virginia Public School, graduating from Northhampton High School in 1947. He served in the U.S. Army from January 22, 1954 through January 21, 1957. He worked in the garment industry in New York City and retired in 1996 as a partner in Adair's Amoco Food Shops and Service Stations.
He is survived by his wife and sons; five grandchildren; and one great grandchild; brothers; a sister; adopted daughters; a lifetime buddy and a host of other relatives and friends.

Interment in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery; 11501 Garrison Forest Road, Owings Mills, MD 21117.
