James Letcher Anderson died at his home near Alderson, Greenbrier County WV, Friday night, Feb 28th, of a complication of troubles, aged 61 years. He was well and favorably known. For many years he was an engineer on the C & O Railroad, and acted in this capacity for the local freight on the Greenbrier division for 10 or 12 years. His failing health cause him to quit the railroad and he purchased a farm where he spent his last days.
He leaves a wife and two sons, and three daughters, one of the daughters being Mrs J W Sampson, of Hinton. The interment was the following Sunday afternoon in the Ronceverte Riverview Cemetery. Contributor: FG# 48825891.
