Farmer. Married widow Mary Ann (Bishop) Graves, widow of Austain Graves, on 8 April 1842. Amos became stepfather of Bishop D. Graves, Calvin Graves, Mary Jane Graves, and Dorphus Dwight Graves.

Mary Ann and Amos had at least two children together: Amos H. Wilson (1843-1917) and Henry Wilson died as an infant (1844-1845).

Amos died in 1856 and is buried in the plot with Mary Ann and her first husband Austain Graves, (son) Amos Wilson, Virginia, Mildred Estelle, Lewis d., Ben, and two infant Wilsons.

Amos C. Wilson, Matthew Merritt and Enoch B Merriman, were the 1st county commissioners of Marion County. Their first meeting was in June of 1824.
