Mr. Stone was born in Montrose, Pennsylvania, and had lived in Clinton and High Bridge before moving to Broadway 20 years ago.
He was a retired employee of Union Carbide Corporation in Bound Brook and was a member of the Washington Moose Lodge in Washington.
His wife, Alice Stone, died in 1976. Surviving are his three daughters, Doris Schroedel of Pittstown, Elizabeth Bolmer of Citrus Heights, California, and Leona Suydam of Berlin.
Also surviving are three brothers, John, George, and Leslie, all of Montrose, Pennsylvania; five sisters, Amelia Yawger of Flemington, Betty Feduke of Binghamton, New York, Emily Comfort of San Diego, California, Kathleen Marbaker of Conklin Forks, New York, and Harriet Schmidt of Louisville, Kentucky; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are by Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home in Flemington.
