Harold Gene Treat, age 79 of Flippin, AR died Friday, September 26, 2014 at the Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, AR. He was born in Rea Valley, AR May 17, 1935, a son of the late Amos and Ora (Hall) Treat. He was a carpenter and a NRA certified firearms trainer for the Boy Scouts of America and he was an assistant scout master. An avid outdoorsman he enjoyed hunting, fishing or just being outside enjoying nature.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Grace (Thompson) Treat of Flippin; three sons, Kelly Treat (Chris) of Shawnee, OK, and Michael and Danny Treat of Washington, a daughter, Kandi Treat of Bull Shoals; a brother, L.J. Treat of Flippin; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Howard, Stanley and Paul Wayne Treat.

Funeral service will be 11:00 am Monday, September 29, 2014 at the old Rea Valley School in Rea Valley, AR with a visitation one hour prior to the service. J.W. Ott will officiate. Burial will follow in the Ott Cemetery. Pallbearers are; Kelly, John Wayne and Talon Treat, Doyle and Dwayne Hall, Brian Woodall, Tim Wright and Kelly Hurst.
