Murl Dean Boothe, 86, of Frankford passed away Sunday, December 8, 2013 at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Fairlea.

Born April 29, 1927 at Unus, he was the son of the late Calvin Maynard and Brownie Gray Hinkle Boothe.

Mr. Boothe was retired from the West Virginia Department of Highways as a supervisor. He was a former member of the Frankford Ruritan Club and volunteered many years as a member of the Frankford Fire Department and was a founding member of Northern Greenbrier Ambulance Service.

Survivors include his wife, Geneva Boothe, his son Calvin and wife Sherri May of Frankford; his daughter Dreama Banton of Greenville, Tennessee; granddaughter Tia Gilley of Greenville, Tennessee; great grandsons Austin Gilley and Beaux Gilley of Greenville, Tennessee; and his sister Tib Heuer of Fairlea.

Services will be 1:00 PM Friday, December 13, 2013 and Morgan funeral home in Lewisburg with Rev. Vince Deeds officiating. Burial will follow in Rosewood cemetery in Lewisburg.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday, December 12 and Morgan funeral home in Lewisburg.

Pallbearers will be Paul Dale Dietz, Jamie Sawyers, Sammy Banton, Eldridge Cool, Jr. Baldwin, Jim Childers, Anthony Banton, and William "Stitch" Wilson.
