She died New York City, April 12, 1871. They lived in Rome, N.Y., where he was a prosperous merchant, then removed to New York City. He married 2nd, Rome, N.Y., Dec. 2, 1872, to Mrs. Eliza Allen Comstock, born Floyd, Onida Co., N.Y., April 10, 1815, dau of William Allen and Dorcus Chase, Widow of Elon Comstock, who died March 10, 1864, to whom she was married December 20, 1835. They live in Oneida, N.Y.
