Grace was the second of five known children of Uriah Fletcher & Estella Johnson. She was born and raised in Waupaca County. In 1904 she married Herman Samp. They had at least one stillborn child--Richard. Their daughter, Ione, married Bruce Hull. Herman died in 1940.
When Grace's mother died in 1946 the obituary reported that Grace was living in Idaho with her second husband, Mr. Olmsted. She moved to Moses Lake, Grant Co., Washington to be with her daughter, Ione. Grace died at age 87, probably in Moses Lake, but she was buried in Shawano, Wisconsin, next to her first husband.
