Company C, 4th Michigan Cavalry
From Paw Paw, Michigan, Romanzo enlisted at Lafayette, Michigan on August 6, 1862 as a 1st Sergeant for 3 years service at the age of 29. He was Supernumerary 2nd Lieutenant of Company B by December of 1862. Commissioned 2nd Lieutenant of Company A, on February 17, 1863. Commissioned 1st Lieutenant of Company C, February 25, 1864. Commissioned Captain on January 8, 1865. He assisted in the capture of Jefferson Davis before his discharge at Nashville, Tn on July 1, 1865. He died on December 9, 1902 and is buried in his home town of Paw Paw.
