She was employed by S.D. Warren Co. in several positions in the main office, the last one being as assistant to the manager of production control. In 1955, she moved with her family to Williamstown when her husband accepted a position with Sprague Electric Co. In 1966, she accepted a position in the computer department at Williams College. She retired in 1976.
She was a member of the First Congregational Church, Williamstown. She was a life member of the Beulah Chapter 5, Order of the Eastern Star (now Mizpah Chapter 3) of Westbrook, Maine. She was active with Cub Scouts and worked as a volunteer for the Women's Exchange and for the Recording for the Blind in Williamstown.
She leaves her husband, Frank Lindsay Wellcome Jr., whom she married in 1945; a son, Stephen Gould Wellcome of Bolton; a sister, Eleanor Ross of Concord; a grandson, David Wellcome of Bolton; and many nieces and nephews.
Five brothers, Alton Chick, Malcolm Chick, Kenneth Chick, Wilton Chick and Willard Chick, and five sisters, Louise Trafton, Althea Jess, Barbara Hannaford, Carrie Lott and Frances Ingram, are deceased.
