Funeral Here Saturday For Mrs. George Wilson

Mrs. Ida Margaret Wilson, 79, wife of George W. Wilson of near Stanberry, died Wednesday at a nursing home in Stanberry where she had been a patient since sometime in February when she suffered a cerebral hemorrhage at her home.

Her funeral is to be held at 2 oclock (sic) Saturday afternoon in the Christian church here, conducted by the Rev. Russell Evans. Burial will be in the King City cemetery (sic). The body will lie in state at the Clark Funeral home until funeral time.

A lifelong resident of this area, Mrs. Wilson is survived by her husband, three brothers, John Kemp of St. Joseph, and Joe and Andrew (Jack) Kemp of King City, and one sister, Mrs. Anna Gregory, also of King City; five children, Orville Wilson of near Rosendale, and Ivan Wilson, Mrs. Loren Holeman and Mrs. Emmett McGeorge of near King City and Mrs. Homer H. G. Evans of Guilford; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Ida Wilson Taken by Death

Services were held Saturday afternoon in the King City Christian church (sic) for Mrs. Ida Margaret Wilson, 79, who was taken by death the preceding Wednesday in the Stanberry rest home. The rites were conducted by the Rev. Russell Evans, and burial was in the King City cemetery (sic).

Ida Margaret Kemp, daughter of the late George S. and Mary Ann Bennett Kemp, was born Oct. 3, 1879, in Gentry county (sic), near King City. She spent her early childhood on the farm where she was born, and attended the Prairie Flower school.

Married in 1899

She was united in marriage to George W. Wilson at her family home March 29, 1899. To this union five children were born, all of whom survive: Mrs. Elsie McGeorge, King City; Orville Wilson, Rosendale; Mrs. Lucille Evans, Guilford: Mrs. Marie Holeman, King City, and Ivan Wilson, King City.

She spent her entire life in Gentry county (sic) with the exception of the first 17 years of her married life, which were spent in Nodaway county (sic) near Guilford. In 1906 she was united with the Island City Christian church (sic), of which she remained a member through the years. She was a devoted wife and a loving mother.

Other survivors are three brothers and one sister, John Kemp, St. Joseph; Joseph and Andrew Kemp, and Mrs. Anna Gregory, all of King City; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and a host of friends.
