Stanley Winger Foss (Stan), 84 years old. Resident of Whittier, CA He went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 17, 2013. Cause of death natural causes. Born October 1, 1929 to Victor and Dorothy Foss in Lincoln, NB Married on September 25, 1949 in Whittier CA to Violet Mae Delong Graduated from Whittier Union High School in 1948 Was in a business partnership with his two brothers, they owned and ran Foss Plating Company in Santa Fe Springs CA. A devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church located in uptown Whittier where he served as a Deacon and Elder. He was a life long member of Gideon's International , distributing Bibles to the community.
He is survived by his brother Donald and sister Kay Johnstone He was preceded in death by his wife Vi and his oldest son Ken and his brother Larry A private graveside ceremony for family will take place at Rose Hills He was devoted husband and father, businessman and church congregant who gave of himself freely.
A memorial service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church in Whittier on August 17th at 11:00 AM. Donations can be made in memory to Stanley Foss at Gideon's International gideons.org.
