He was a postal clerk for 29 years and was a bookkeeper for the Ellis County Highway Dept. for more than six years. He was a veteran of World War II and was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, St. Joseph Council of the Knights of Columbus, VFW, and the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son, Leon, of the home; a brother, Eldine, Almont, N.D.; and a sister, Eleanor Taylor, Oklahoma City, Okla.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 18th and Vine, Father Steve Heina officiated; burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery.
