Isidore "Issy" Staab, 66, 317 E. 18th, died Wednesday, Sept. 26 at his home of natural causes. He was born on Nov. 16, 1917 in Hays to Jacob P. and Mary (Walters) Staab.
He married Mary Braun on Sept. 27, 1948 in Walker.
He was a postal clerk for 29 years and was a bookkeeper for the Ellis County Highway Dept. for more than six years. He was a veteran of World War II and was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, St. Joseph Council of the Knights of Columbus, VFW, and the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son, Leon, of the home; a brother, Eldine, Almont, N.D.; and a sister, Eleanor Taylor, Oklahoma City, Okla.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 18th and Vine, Father Steve Heina officiated; burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery.
