Alfred "Al" Eugene Hunter, 77, of Elizabeth Park- Kellogg, passed away March 16, 2014 at the family home of Elizabeth Park. He was born May 29, 1936 in Hope, Idaho; Al was the son of William and Verona (Tyler) Hunter.

Al attended schools in Clark Fork. He moved to the Silver Valley in 1955 from Clark Fork. Al served in the U.S. Army.

Al married Cecilia Davis on Dec. 9, 1961 in Coeur d'Alene.

Al had first worked for his Dad, William Hunter, as a leaser for a mine in the Clark Fork area. He then served as a miner for the Star Mine and Consolidated Silver of the Hecla Mining Company, and had also worked for a short time for the Galena Mine of ASARCO.

Al was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers Melvin, Everett and Raymond; and one sister Glenda.
