Sr. Mary Cletus Sesterhenn EDUCATOR

Sister of Christian Charity Mary Cletus (Aurelia Elizabeth) Sesterhenn, 94, died July 14 at St. Francis Hospital, Evanston. Born in Gross Point, now part of Wilmette, she attended St. Joseph School and Mallinkrodt High School, both in Wilmette. She entered the convent in 1937 and made her perpetual profession of vows in 1946. She taught elementary school and then high school and collegelevel science classes. In Chicago, she taught at St. Gregory High School (1961-1965) and at Josephinum High School (1969-1975). She also taught science classes during summer sessions at Mallinckrodt College (1964- 1968). She taught math and chemistry at Mallinkrodt College (1975- 1990), and was director of financial aid. In 1991, she was hired as the manager of the campus branch of Beck’s Bookstore. She retired in 1998. She is survived by her brother, Cletus.
