Allen Lee Anderson, 71, from Poskin, WI died September 28, 2014 after battling ALS disease for the last year. Allen was born June 13, 1943 at Rice Lake to Elmer and Elsie (Thompson) Anderson.
Allen attended grade school at Garfield school and Graduated from Barron High School 1961. He then attended vocational school for 1 year at Rice Lake WITC. On September 6, 1969 he married DeAnn Alexander at First Lutheran Church in Barron. He was employed at Amsco in Rice Lake for 32 years in the maintenance Dept.
Allen enjoyed hunting, fishing, gun collecting, Green Bay Packers, and helping others. He was a Lifetime member of the Poskin Sportsman’s club. In later years his pride and joy was his granddaughter Hannah Holst.
Allen is survived by his wife: DeAnn Anderson of Almena, WI, Sons: Gary Anderson of Almena, WI , Michael Anderson of Stanley, WI, Daughter: Gretchen Anderson of Almena, WI , Granddaughter: Hannah Holst, Brother: James Anderson of Boston, MA, and Cousins, Nieces & Nephews. Allen was preceded in death by his Parents: Elmer and Elsie Anderson, His Father & Mother- In-Law: Charles and Gladys Alexander, and Brother: Tom Anderson.
Services will be held at First Lutheran Church in Barron, WI on Thursday October 2, 2014 at 2:00pm with Rev. Steve Timm officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
