Mrs. Ruth Embler Skelton Senkbeil, 84, of Pecan Drive, Hartwell, died Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at the Hart Care Center.
Born on September 6, 1930 in Hartwell, Ga, she was the daughter of the late Monroe Skelton and Mabel Perry Skelton. She was retired from Hartwell Sports as a seamstress and inspector and a member of the Sardis Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son: Van Senkbeil and his wife Karen of Hartwell; four grandchildren: Jeremy Senkbeil and his wife Karen of Danielsville, Caleb Senkbeil and his fiancée, Hayley Sanders of Hartwell, Luke Senkbeil of Brooklyn, NY and Zac Senkbeil of Athens; two great grandchildren: Holland and Brentley also survives.
Mrs. Senkbeil was preceded in death by her husband: Larry E. Senkbeil.
Graveside services will be Monday, October 6, 10:00 am at the Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. John Silver and Rev. Carter Tucker officiating.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 Sunday evening. The family is at the home of Van and Karen Senkbeil, 235 Benson Street, Hartwell, GA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sardis Baptist Church Family Life Center, 4359 Anderson Hwy., Hartwell, GA 30643.
