Harry was born in Sugar City, CO on January 17, 1929, a son of the late Mary(Keller) and Jake Gerlock. He attended school in Sugar City.
He was the husband of Rosalie(Fragoza) Gerlock, they were married on May 24, 1965 at Sugar City, CO.
He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War.
Harry worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator and as a salesman, when he retired he raised and rescued horses.
He was a member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Ev. Church Lamar, CO.
Harry was a life member of the V.F.W., past Exhalted Ruler of the Jaycees and a volunteer fire fighter. He enjoyed refurbishing antique furniture, reading about history and politics and playing musical instruments.
He is survived by his wife Rosalie of the home; Daughter Nancy Jessee, of Thornton, CO; Daughter Sherri, wife of Bill Stone, of Grand Junction, CO; Daughter Elizabeth Ann Gerlock Genty, of Denver, CO; Son Harry Hilbert Gerlock, Jr. husband of Hillarie, of Pueblo, CO; Brother Ed, husband of Sonja Gerlock, of Marble Hill, MO; He is also survived by 5 grandchildren.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents; brothers; Jake & Alex Gerlock; 4 sisters: Clara & Rebecca Gerlock, Pauline Champagne, Lillian Ricks; son-in-law: Chuck Jessee; brother-in-law: Eltjo Visker.
A Memorial Service will be at the First Methodist Church, Rocky Ford, CO, at 2:00 PM on Friday, September 26th, with Pastor Tim Wheaton officiating. There will be no viewing as cremation has been effected. Inurnment will be in the Sugar City Cemetery in Sugar City, CO.
