BEECHER - Charles M. Beecher, Jr., employed as a compositor on the Elmira Gazette, and son of Charles M. Beecher, night editor of the Advertiser, committed suicide last week Monday night by hanging himself in his father’s barn. He was nearly twenty-five years old, and disappointment in love is supposed to have been the cause of his self-destruction.
