His first marriage was in 1930, in Kentucky, to Dessie V. Harper, who died in 1960. In 1965, he was married at Otterbein, to Mary E. Thomas, who survives.
Mr. Irvin was employed at Wabash Valley Nursery for 13 years. He attended Apostolic House of Prayer.
Surviving with the widow are a daughter, Sandy (Mrs. Robert) Searcy of Attica; a stepdaughter, Connie (Mrs. Donald) Fassnacht of Colfax; one brother, Belle Irvin of Danville, KY; and eight grandchildren. Two sisters preceded in death.
