Mr. Freeman 62, passed away Friday September 26, 2014 at Covenant Health Source from injuries received in a pedestrian car accident. He was born in Owosso, Michigan on March 10, 1952 to the late Ronald & Margaret (Wilder) Freeman. He married the former Elaine Good on June 3, 1972 at the RLDS Church in Owosso, she survives him. John was a veteran serving in the U.S. Marines and was retired from the State of Michigan Department of Corrections. He was a member of the Community of Christ Church, Saginaw, where he was an ordained teacher. He was a member of the BAARC and enjoyed working with anything electronic.
Surviving besides his wife are their children Brian T. (Heather) Freeman, Crystal (Brian) Charbonneau and Kendra Freeman; grandchildren Isabella Kroczaleski, Anthony & Clarie Charbonneau, Cutter & Harlan Freeman; a sister Margaret (Leroy) Easterbrook. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Everett Freeman.
Celebration of His Life Service will be held Saturday October 4, 2014 at 1 pm at the Community of Christ Church-West Side 300 N. Center Rd. Saginaw, Michigan with Elders Richard Hawks and Jerry Mogg presiding with inurnment at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan.
John was a F.C.C. licensed Amateur Radio (HAM) Operator with call sign N8ZE
