Macon, GA- Mary Duckworth Hyder, 90, joined her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, October 01, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her family.

A celebration of her life will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday at Snow's Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue with entombment in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Pastor Maurice Witt officiating. The family will meet friends from 6 - 8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hyder, wife of the late Randall E. Hyder, Sr. was born in Tifton, the daughter of the late Walter R. Duckworth, Sr. and Minnie Bass Duckworth. She was a graduate of Tifton High School where she was voted "Best Personality" and "Most Talkative." She loved people and was loved by them in return. Mrs. Hyder was Sales Manager with World Book Encyclopedia and was a member of Wimbish Road Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Survivors include those she loved most, her children, Randy Hyder, Molly Evans, Bob Hyder, Jeannie (Bill Thomas) Hyder all of Macon, Sandy Hyder and Joe (Beth) Hyder of Lizella; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Bernice Duckworth and nieces and nephews whom she treasured.

Her family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Southern Care Hospice for their gentle and professional care.

Snow's Memorial Chapel Funeral and Cremation Services, Pio Nono Avenue has charge of arrangements.
