Jerry “Plow Boy” Boruff, age 75, of Sweetwater, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2014, at the family home. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church of Ten Mile, a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and a retired truck driver. Preceded in death by his parents: Claude and Irene Boruff, sister: Betty Helton, brother: Bobby Boruff.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years: Faye “Tootie” Boruff, of Sweetwater, sons and daughters-in-law: Dale and Barbara Boruff, of Athens, Richard Boruff, of Sweetwater, Jeff “Gomer” and Kathy Boruff, of Sweetwater, daughter and son-in-law: Pam and Mike Hechler, of Knoxville, grandchildren and spouses: Melody and Rick King, Whitney and Jeff Vance, Brian and Hannah Boruff, Katrina Weeks and Roy Hurley, Hank Luke, 8 great-grandchildren, brother: Billy Boruff, of Sparta, TN, sister: Jean Potter, of Church Hill, TN., brother-in-law: Ed Helton, of Sweetwater, sister-in-law: Shirley Boruff, of Sweetwater, brother-in-law: Clyde Sutton, of Knoxville, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 3, 2014, at the Sweetwater Memory Chapel from 5:00P.M. until 7:00P.M. with the funeral service to follow at 7:00P.M. in the Memory Chapel with Rev.
