Services for Jane C. Long of Yamhill will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the LDS Church, Yamhill. Bishop Doug Reynolds will officiate.

Interment will be in Pike Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Macy & Son Funeral Directors, McMinnville. The funeral home will be open for visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday.

Mrs. Long died Feb. 28, 2001, in her home. She was 74.

Born Jan. 28, 1927, in Santa Cruz, Calif., she was the daughter of William Elmer and Amanda Augusta Carlson McCrea. She graduated from Santa Cruz High School in 1945. She went to work in a cannery, then in a shirt factory.

She and Lawrence Long were married Feb. 11, 1957, in Carson City, Nev.

The Longs lived in Yamhill for a year. In the 1960s, they moved to Forest Grove. In 1971, they returned to Yamhill.

Mrs. Long was a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and canning.

She was a member of the LDS Church in Yamhill. She was the church's luncheon chairman and also arranged meals for ladies' meetings at the church.

Survivors include her husband of Yamhill; three daughters, Carla Rivers of Yamhill, Genevieve Clark of Midvale, Utah, and Julia Waite of Logandale, Nev.; three sons, Terry Long of Tualatin, Clinton Long of Salt Lake City, and Wesley Long of Taylorsville, Utah; a sister, Muriel Tenneson of Campbell, Calif.; and 13 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, one sister and a grandchild.
