Preceded in death by mother, Ruby K. Maxwell; sisters, Wilma Thompson and Margaret Johnson; brother, Joe E. Maxwell. Survivors: wife, Diane Maxwell; daughter, Rachel Maxwell, both of Knoxville; sister, Katheryn DeVine, Gadsden, Ala; brother, Neil Maxwell, Mascot; son, Michael Maxwell; sister-in-law, Cathy Gaddy; brother-in-law, Daren Townsend, all of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Funeral service 1 p.m. Wednesday, Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel, Rev. Ernest Condee and Rev. Mike Segers officiating. Interment Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery.
