Stephen D. Repp, 50, of Connersville, passed away Friday evening, June 22, 2007. His death was unexpected. He passed away while working at Visteon of a heart attack.

He was born in Brazoria, Texas on April 22, 1957, the son of the late George Wayne and Betty Jo Archey Repp.

He lived in Texas and Wyoming until his high school years when he moved with his family to Connersville. He married his high school sweetheart, Sandy Bauer, on September 2, 1979 at St. Gabriel Church. Sandy and Steve lived happily in the Bauer Family home which was once owned by Sandy's grandparents, Philip and Julia Bauer.

He worked as a welder for many years prior to his employment at Visteon as a journeyman in Machine Repair.

He attended St. Gabriel Church.

A devoted husband and father, he liked to spend time outdoors with his family, camping, swimming, kite flying and go-cart riding. Steve had a great love of aviation and enjoyed flying and building remote control airplanes. He was a member of the Whitewater Valley Remote Control Club. He also had a great love of music. He played many instruments and hand crafted a mandolin, violin and xylophone. He was an active volunteer for the CHS Band. Steve was a dog lover, and enjoyed spending time training and playing with his Boston Terrier, Patch.

Survivors include his wife, Sandy; four sons, Tyler 21, Travis 17, Trent 13, Sam 10; and a daughter, Sarah 10, all at home; a sister, Candy Childs and husband, Rick, of Ft. Collins, Colorado; his stepmother, Tammy Repp of Cheyenne, Wyoming; a half brother, Andrew Repp, of Rock Springs, Wyoming; a half sister, Wendy Copley and husband, Brayden, of Denver, Colorado; and a cousin, Bill Powell of Connersville. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Steve was very close to his extended family which included his father in law, Philip Bauer, and numerous sister and brother in laws, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, great nieces, great nephews and spent many happy times together.

Steve was a strong, quiet, kind and caring individual, a friend to all; and will be missed by many.

Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Stanley J. Herber at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2007 in Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home, where friends may call from 4 until 8 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Dale Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Repp Children Education Fund in care of Miller, Moster Robbins Memorial Fund, 1704 N. Grand Avenue, Connersville, IN 47331.
