VELMA L. GOSSETT, 77, of Brooksville, formerly of Tampa, died Wednesday in Brooksville. A native of Spencer, Tenn., she moved to the Tampa Bay area in 1951, coming from Chattanooga, Tenn. She was a section manager for a department store and a Protestant. She is survived by two sons, Darvin of Floral City and D.J. of Brooksville; three sisters, Hattie Patton of Toledo, Ohio, Ermon Norris of Knoxville, Tenn., and Kassie McBride of McMinnville, Tenn.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Garden of Memories-Myrtle Hill Funeral Home.
