Lorraine Lenore Adams, age 79, of Hancock, died on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at her home.

Born May 2, 1935, in Needmore, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Bradie and Lenore O’Rourke Truax, and the widow of her first husband, Paul Schetrompf, who died in 1978.

She was of the Pentecostal faith.

She was retired from Londontown Manufacturing, where she had worked as a seamstress.

She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and computer games.

She is survived by her second husband, Bill Adams, whom she married March 17, 1989, in Hagerstown, Md.; two sons, Roger Schetrompf, of Great Cacapon, W.Va., and Paul Schetrompf, of Hancock; four daughters, Patty A. Schetrompf, Dee Keefer and husband, Boone, Tina McCusker and husband, Shelton, all of Hancock, and Laura Sue Lane and husband, David, of Smithsburg, Md.; four sisters, Estella Ruth Knepp and June E. Percy, both of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., Vallie K. Schetrompf and Linda E. Ray and husband, Enos, all of Hancock; two brothers, Lyle F. Truax and wife, Linda, of Hyattsville, Md., and Gene O. Truax, of Hancock; twelve grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents and first husband, she was also preceded in death by three brothers, Lloyd Bradie Truax, Virgil Wallace Truax, and Ray Matthew Truax; and one great-granddaughter, Angel Noelani Truax.

A service will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2014, at 2:00 p.m., at the Orchard Ridge First Church of God, Orchard Ridge Road, Hancock, Md. Rev. Jeffrey Hawbaker will officiate. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove Christian Cemetery, Warfordsburg, Pa.

The family will receive friends at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, on Tuesday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., and at the Church on Wednesday, from 1 to 2 p.m.

The family requests that memorial donations, in her name, may be made to the charity of your choice.
