-Maxine E. Harbaugh, 95, of Spokane passed away at 12:07 pm on Thursday March 29th, 2012 at the Allen Adult Family Home. Maxine was born December 21, 1916 in Deer Lodge, Montana to Henry and Florence Staffanson. She graduated from Anaconda High School in Anaconda, Montana and attended the University of Montana in Missoula and Kinman Business College in Spokane.
-Maxine was married to the love of her life, Blaine Harbaugh, for 58 years until his passing in 1999. A proud Swede, Maxine worked as a bookkeeper early in her career. Later in life, she enjoyed spending time with friends, family and members of her church.
-She is survived by her daughters Kristin Megy of Twin Lakes, Idaho and Lynn Harbaugh of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, She is also survived by her seven grandchildren: Devin, Jeff and Sean Megy, Toupey and Cara Luft, Teresa and Kim Elder; four great-grandchildren and daughter-in-law Karen Elder. Blaine and Maxine also had a foster son, Edward Elder, who passed away in 2000.
-Graveside Service will be held at 11:30 am, Saturday April 7th, 2012 at Pinegrove Cemetery in Rathdrum with YATES FUNERAL HOME, COEUR D'ALENE CHAPEL, entrusted with the care of final arrangements. A Memorial Service will follow at 1:00 pm at the Rathdrum Methodist Building.
