R. "Grady" Fletcher, 100, of Talpa passed away Friday, October 03, 2014 in Dallas, Texas.

He was born January 20, 1914 in Graham, Texas to Henry "Grady" and Roberta Lee (Akin) Fletcher.

Grady was a member of the United States Army and served during World War II. After being discharged in 1946, he was recalled in 1950 for the Korean War. His final discharge was in September of 1954.

After honorably serving his country, Grady worked as a mechanical engineer for seventeen years. He worked in the U.K., Spain, and Barstow, California.

On February 9, 1967, he married Nona Imogene Cates in Gilbalter, U.K. They shared forty seven wonderful years together. Grady was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Talpa.

Grady was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife; his son; his grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am, Monday October 6 at Talpa Cemetery with Loyd Hopper officiating. The family request that memorials be made to the Gideon Memorial Bible Association or a favorite charity.
