Abington-Alvin L. Carlin, 66, 6663 Abington Pike, Died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 1996, at his residence.
He was born March 24, 1930, in Milton to Charles Sr. and Laura L. Vance Carlin and had lived in Abington since 1955.
He was a retired employee of Farmhand and an Army Air Force veteran of the Korean conflict.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Ann Carlin Bowman of Richmond and Valerie Lynn Carlin of Hagerstown; two sons, Andrew Lee Carlin of Fort George G. Meade, Md., and Anthony Lee Carlin of Richmond; six grandchildren; one brother, Charles Carlin Jr. of Abington; one sister, Dorthea Marsh of Richmond; several nieces and nephews; and a former wife, Margaret L. Carlin Azbill of Richmond.
Service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at Mills Funeral Home in Centerville. Burial will follow at the Abington Cemetery, where the Wayne County Veterans Council will conduct a graveside service.
Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, at the funeral home.
